About Groben's
Groben’s Seafood has been providing the finest quality fresh and prepared seafood to the community since 1877. In 1982, Bob and Jane Groben took over the business and continued working with the same dedication and persistence that has made Groben’s a fixture in the community.
When the Grobens’ decided to retire, they needed to find someone who shared their dedication to running the business. In Eric Hooks and Robert Coleman, they found two.
Hooks, 36, grew up in Mt.Airy. He began working at Groben’s while in high school and was the manager in charge of buying the seafood for over 10 years. Coleman, 41, grew up in Michigan, just outside Detroit, and completed 22 years of service in the Air force.
In October 2006, Hooks and Coleman continue to serve the community and customers with the same dedication as Bob and Jane Groben. We look forward to continually serve the community with fresh and prepared seafood for many years to come.
